This beautiful and extremely comfortable house sits in a quiet countryside location with panoramic views across wooded hills and vineyards, 4 kilometres from the lively medieval town Vaison- la- Romaine, famous for its Gallo-Roman remains, which can be seen in two locations. Vaison is also known for its cultural summer events held in the local Roman amphitheatre.
It is an ideal perfect base from which to explore the nearby Dentelles de Montmirail and the highest mountain in Provence, Mt Ventoux with its expansive views, from its lunar-landscape summit. The nearby Gigondas and Vacqueras vineyards produce some of the best red wines in the region, and sleepy Beaumes de Venise produces a fruity and sweet Muscat wine, drunk locally as a digestif. For the active and lovers of outdoor life, or those simply wishing to nullify the effects of the local gourmet lifestyle (!), there are walking trails, rocks to climb and country lanes perfect for cycling. Orange, another Roman town close by has a summer opera season in its Roman amphitheatre.
The villa is the perfect place to retreat to after a morning’s sightseeing and offers a haven of peace and tranquillity within its large, secluded grounds. It is approached via an unpaved road, the latter part of which is a private drive to the house. The house is surrounded by lawns and paved patios, all with lovely views. The private driveway continues past the house for about 100 meters and leads to the large swimming pool (15 x 6 m) and pool house.
The main living room is spacious and bright with windows facing the lovely views from which this house benefits, and opens to a furnished terrace. The dining room opens via French windows to a dining terrace, with two dining tables under a vine-clad pergola. There is also a TV room and two games’ rooms, one with small pool table and another for children with miniature football game (baby foot). Pool towels and bathrobes are provided and there is a barbecue at the property.
The caretaker and her husband, 3 cats and a small dog live in a cottage behind and detached from the main house. She provides maid service. No other pets allowed at this property.

To the left of one entrance hall is a laundry room with washer/dryer and beyond that a games’ room with a small pool table. Additional games’ room. TV room.
