Reaching the end of his journey, Odysseus was taken from Kefalonia to Ithaca in a Phoenician longboat. Seeing the Phoenicians returning to Kefalonia, Poseidon raised his trident and turned the boat and oarsmen to stone.

Villa has a magnificent hilltop position overlooking the valley below and across the sea to Ithaca and in the distance, Lefkas.
The villa is just outside the hamlet of Evreti and is surrounded by a richly forested landscape of olive, cypress and pine trees above the north east coastline.
Modern and comfortable interiors open out on to a large pool terrace with stunning views out to sea. Jenny and her husband, Stamatis, live in an independent studio below the villa and can be called on for help and advice – Stamatis has retired from the Greek navy and is now a fisherman.

car hire recommended. Fiscardo (tavernas, shops, boat hire, people watching) is a 10 minute drive. Foki Bay has a beach fringed by olive groves and a taverna – a 5 minute drive.
