Situated in a stunning hillside position, commanding sweeping views of the gently undulating Tuscan farmland which surrounds it. On the slopes below the villa the estate owners run a working sheep farm, grazing on the rich pastureland bordering the grounds and producing wool, meat and, above all, the celebrated local “pecorino” cheese.
A converted two-storey Tuscan farmhouse in traditional honey-coloured stone and brickwork, this villa makes an ideal countryside base for families and small groups of friends, in search of absolute seclusion and tranquillity in close contact to nature. As there are no other houses in the neighbourhood and the property owners themselves do not live on site, guests can enjoy maximum privacy.
Great care has been taken to preserve many of the building’s original architectural features, such as its terracotta-tiled floors; tiled and wood-beamed ceilings, colour washed walls and exposed stonework. There also are a number of opportunities for outdoor relaxation and dining, including paved sun terraces.
Approaching the villa you will reach the gravel parking place from where you can access directly the basement floor hosting the entrance with a single sofa bed, a double bedroom with suite bathroom with shower.
A stone staircase leads to the upper floor where the main entrance is located. On this floor you enter the villa from the large living room comfortable sofas and tv sat. The fully equipped kitchen has oven and microwave, American style coffee machine and dishwasher. The two bedrooms on this level, one twin and one double, have en suite bathroom with shower and on the same floor there is also a fourth bathroom with shower.
The villa is also provided with mosquito screens at the windows, high speed internet connection and washing machine for you use. The living room gives direct access to a stone paved covered terrace equipped with tables and chairs for al fresco dining.
Garden & Swimming Pool
The villa offers exceptional views from its location on a gentle hill, amongst others covered by pastures, grainfields or woodland. Its lovely pool (12 x 4 meters and 1.00 - 1.50 meters deep), perched on a grass terrace, well away from the house, likewise enjoys a unique scenic backdrop. A panoramic shaded corner is organized with table and chairs to relax and read a book while enjoying the calmness of the rural scenary.
The building’s paved surround is enclosed by borders of colourful plants, which are echoed by the sloping flowerbeds laid out either side of the path leading to the house. Brightly planted terracotta urns decorate the grounds, while Tuscany’s “trademark” evergreen olive trees and Cypresses dot the lawn.
