Enjoying wonderful views over oak and chestnut woods from the side of a small stream, this is a beautifully restored grey stone farmhouse and was once the mill where all the locals brought their grain to be turned into flour by the power of the once fast flowing river. This now peaceful location offers high quality family friendly villa with many charming features that add that certain something to the old beams, cotto floors and whitewashed walls of antiquity.
Restored within the last 10 years and furnished to a very high standard, being both comfortable and cosy, all of the spacious bedrooms have an en suite bath or shower room ensuring total privacy.
The farmhouse follows the traditional rule of ground floor (once storage) being an open plan living area and the first/second floors being the living accommodation. Ripoli comes highly recommended if one is looking to spend life al fresco in the outdoors. The spacious terraced areas, large meadows and garden laid mostly to lawn offer a number of dining opportunities: Bread/pizza oven, a barbecue and a wisteria covered pergola. Stroll along the aromatically lined paths down to the pool area, lie back on a sun lounger with a glass of wine within easy reach and enjoy the sound of birdsong as it floats across the valley. Relaxation guaranteed.
The helpful, unassuming English owners of the property, live in a restored tower close to the house but know the value of privacy and are completely non intrusive. A short walk from the house there are chickens (no cockerels!) where guests are welcome to help themselves to fresh eggs. Guests are also welcome to help themselves to fresh produce from the vegetable garden.
