This is a wonderfully peaceful and totally private retreat overlooking valleys of olive groves just inland from the north east coast resorts of Kouloura and Agios Stefanos.
The views across the sea to Albania are breathtaking – one can see clearly the town of Agia Seranda and the ancient city of Butrint.
With no immediate neighbours, Hilltop House’s many verandahs are surrounded by hillside terraces of olive and walnut trees and in the distance, small hilltop hamlets.
The house, built of stone in the early 20th Century, has been completely renovated to a high standard of modern comfort. Stone terraces to either catch or escape the sun surround the house and lead to an original threshing floor and the swimming pool, bordered by a garden of roses and fig and walnut trees.
A hire car is needed to have easy access to the coastal shops, tavernas and beaches but the location of Hilltop House will appeal to walkers, escapists and lovers of stunning scenery.
