There are plenty of activities nearby to keep active families occupied: horse riding on the moorland, cycling and walking can all be enjoyed, as well as more unusual pastimes such as llama walking and hot air ballooning. Ashburton is nearby and has a good selection of shops, cafes and pubs. Further afield is the English ’Riviera’ coastline with its beach resorts as well as quaint fishing villages.
For those not wishing to venture too far, the cottage comes with books, DVDs and games. The garden is an especially pretty with valley views and is a good spot for curling up with a book or enjoying a barbecue.
Inside, the cottage is all you would expect from a traditional English cottage, with exposed stone walls and wooden beamed ceilings all topped off with a picture postcard thatched roof. The interiors are light and airy and include all modern day comforts.
For families travelling with other families, the property can also be rented with the adjacent Splash Cottage (2 bedrooms), allowing convenience and a degree of independence. The larger Sweeton Manor (6 bedrooms) is also just a short walk away.
