The island is accessible via a 20 minute boat ride from Paihia, Russell or Waitangi. Daily visits by The Cream Trip enable the delivery of daily supplies if required. A bronze plaque in the bay at Cooks Cove commemorates the visit of Captain James Cook to the Bay of Islands on his first circumnavigation of New Zealand in 1769.
Activities here are many and varied, including the opportunity to just relax on one of the many decks around the property, or soak in the spa pool, nestled in the bush overlooking the water. For diving enthusiasts, again there are operators that will pick up and drop off from the wharf, or you can take diving lessons during your stay.
