From Vathy a road winds its way south through a beautiful, natural, undulating landscape with only a very few houses and dramatic views to sea. This peaceful, southern part of Ithaca produces most of the island’s wine. Surrounding hillsides and valleys contain an attractive patchwork display of vineyards, olive groves and pine forest.
2.5 kilometres from Vathy, just off this road, a track leads through olive groves to Kaminia beach. Villa (named after the mythical Goddess of the dawn) is on a hilltop above the track.
Large terraces surround the villa and enjoy magnificent views eastwards across the sea to the mainland of Greece and to the north, the waterfront houses within Vathy Bay are visible. The pool terrace leads to a barbecue area with a stone oven and a dining terrace with a gazebo.
Within the large, private grounds Villa Naias is on an upper olive grove terrace and Villa Nerius is on a lower terrace – each separated by a distance of 50 metres and large olive and fruit trees to provide privacy.
