Recently built, this most appealing property is approached via a long entrance driveway leading up to a spacious parking area where the centrally placed water well doubles as a private mini-roundabout. Clad in golden local stone Els Ametllers’ attractive façade is just the first of several eye-catching features in and around the house which include beamed ceilings, tasteful décor, a good size pool surrounded by lawn and a variety of balconies and terraces from which to make the most of views that stretch out as far as the sea, the crenellated skyline of old Alcúdia and rugged Tramuntana foothills.
Relaxing at Els Ametllers is so easily done. The living accommodation is all generously proportioned, welcoming and well appointed with the air conditioning in each bedroom serving to further enhance surroundings that are already more than comfortable.
Outside, sitting just a few steps beyond the large rear terrace, the private pool sparkles invitingly in the sunshine as the overflow from a little water well-cum-fountain gently ripples the surface. Predominantly laid to lawn, the grounds offer a choice of tempting spots in which to linger over the holiday reading with a cooling drink close at hand.
The proximity of both Llenaire Beach (2km) and Port de Pollença’s magnificent horseshoe bay (1km) with its cafes and seasonal selection of watersports makes a trip to the coast an appealing and very easy option. Likewise the famed Roman town of Pollença itself is only a 10 minute drive inland from the house and fully deserves a visit to explore its maze of interesting backstreets, excellent choice of restaurants and unique ambience, particularly in the evenings around the central square. Be sure not to miss the fascinating Sunday morning market there either! The nearest supermarket is within 2km while Ca’n Cuarassa (1.4km) and Tango Ca Vostra (1.6km) are two nearby restaurants favoured by many guests.
