The wealth of activities on offer locally has made Rock one of Cornwall’s most popular holiday destinations. In addition to a well known links course at the St Enodoc Golf Club, sailing, waterskiing and windsurfing can be enjoyed in the safe haven of the estuary, while the surf beaches on the open coast at Polzeath and beyond are just 10-15 minutes drive. For cyclists, the Camel Trail is a 17 mile traffic-free route that runs from Bodmin to Padstow along the banks of the Estuary.
Treverra Cottage sleps up to eight guests in four bedrooms. The cottage has recently been refurbished to a very high standard with a wonderful eclectic mix of English and Scandinavian antiques. The property is set in landscaped gardens with a tennis court and extraordinarily beautiful, heated outdoor infinity pool and Jacuzzi with views over the Camel Estuary - an area of outstanding natural beauty.
Although the Cornish experience is traditionally very much a family affair, which Treverra lends itself to perfectly, there is a new flavour that has come to the area. Across the water in Padstow celebrity chef Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant brings gourmet cuisine within a short ferry ride across the estuary and further down the coast Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen has also scooped the accolades. In Rock itself you won’t be disappointed with the relaxed atmosphere and great food at the Mariners.
