Description

This unusually designed 4 bedroom villa on 3 levels is set in a quite location in the select residential area of Los Mojones. Its elevated position close to the old town boasts views out to sea from the tranquil covered terrace and garden. Originally designed by the architect to be his home, the villa is contempory in design, offering a comfortable and relaxing lifestyle. Natural materials, textures and colours are used to provide a soothing cool retreat.

The old town harbour of Puerto del Carmen with its selection of shops, bars and fish restaurants are just a 10 minute walk. The sandy cove of Playa Chica is approximately 15 minues walk and the popular marina of Puerto Calero is 5 minutes drive or alternatively the marina can be reached by a scenic stroll across the clifftop

The villa has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and will sleep up to 8 adults (no young children)

A large wooden door opens into a reception hall with wooden flooring picture windows and volcanic stone walls. There are 3 steps down to an open plan lounge/dining room with a feature iron spiral staircase in front of a picture window. The staircase serves all 3 levels. A balcony with iron ballustrades overlooks the lower level. The wooden teak ceiling leads you to a wooden dining table with 6 high backed chairs. The lounge has 2 large comfortable sofas, large coffee table, flat screen satellite TV (with limmited channels), DVD . The lounge area opens out through wooden patio doors onto an attractive cobbled terrace surrounded by louvre doors which can be pulled back revealing the swimming pool and garden with fantastic views. This terrace is ideal for relaxing away from the sun with its panoramic views over the rooftops out to sea. It is furnished with 2 comfortable wooden sun loungers, patio table to seat 6 for al fresco dining and a running machine.

The spacious fitted kitchen with teak units has all modern conveniences including a king size american style fridge, separate freezer, split level electric oven, 4 ring electric hob, microwave, dishwasher and coffee maker. There is ample cupboard space and work surfaces, also a square wooden island breakfast bar with 2 stools. Utilities include a washing machine, iron, ironing board and dishwasher. The kitchen also has a table and chairs to seat 6 giving you yet another dining option. Again large patio doors lead to the covered terrace. Tucked away behind the kitchen is a quiet reading area with TV, X box a sofa and patio doors leading out to a small private terrace which catches the morning sun.

There are 2 twin bedrooms on the ground level with adjoining en suite serving both bedrooms, There is also a separate toilet with washbasin. Both twin rooms are spacious with walk in wardrobes. The windows have iron shutters allowing you to siesta during the afternoon sun. The en suite serving both rooms has a toilet, bidet, twin washbasins and shower over the bath/.

The spiral staircase leads to a further bedroom in the eves of the house. The slopping wooden beams (min height 1,75m) add character to the room which has a double bed, walk in wardrobe and en suite with toilet, bidet, twin washbasins and shower/bath. The high windows offer plenty of light and privacy.

The lower floor has a spacious hall which leads to a ample walk in dressing room. There is a large separate mosaic tiled, modern shower room with a unique style washbasin, toilet, bidet and walk in shower. The bedroom on this level, has a subtle decor with double bed, comfortable sofa, armchair and doors leading to a small private terrace

From the ground level, 7 steps lead down from the terrace to the 7m x 3m rectagular pool (acclimatised in the winter months) surrounded by wooden decking, there is a grass area for subathing which is surrounded by a pretty mature garden (sunbeds are provided) . A further 5 steps lead down to a secluded stone area with built in BBQ.
