As its name suggests, this spacious and imposing residence commands spectacular views from its elevated location on the tiered hillside that rises above the scenic road that meanders through the pretty valley of Los Valles. Not only does it enjoy a privileged location in one of the most picturesque areas of the island but it also provides substantial and beautifully presented accommodation that is ideal for large groups who wish to holiday together.
The sense of space is immediately evident as the house is entered, with the main door leading into a vast reception room, topped with a high-pitched ceiling of polished wood and displaying smart furnishings that set the tone for the elegant style that continues throughout the property.
Doors and archways line each side of this room to give easy access to the bedroom suites and living areas that occupy this floor whilst an eye catching staircase carved out of the same richly coloured wood as the ceiling leads the way to the first floor. Here, the upstairs bedrooms sit alongside an additional living room, which has access to the property’s roof terrace from where impressive panoramic views of the charming pastoral surroundings can be fully appreciated.
Also positioned to make the most of the superb vista is the swimming pool, which sits within a wide terrace that incorporates a covered barbecue area and is conveniently accessed from the kitchen and dining room. From here swimmers, sunbathers and chefs at the barbecue will be able to look out across the picture-postcard valley below, where palm trees provide bright splashes of green amidst clusters of crisp white painted houses, and gently sloping hillsides of cactus and tropical plants rise up beyond.
A scenic drive of just 8km through this attractive countryside brings you to the atmospheric town of Teguise, the island's former capital and an elegant centre housing noble buildings and beautiful churches within a labyrinth of ancient streets. All amenities and some excellent local restaurants can be found here as well as a colourful Sunday morning market.
Alternatively head north from the house for some 9km to discover the delightful white village of Haría, known locally as 'El Valle de las 1000 Palmeras' thanks to the abundance of palm trees that are interspersed amongst its flower-bedecked houses.
Please note: Swimming pool heating is available from the beginning of November until the end of April. Parties paying the rates for up to 6 guests and 7 - 8 guests will have use of the ground and first floors only.
