Motorcycling: Carinthia, El Dorado for motorcyclists. Long day tours, travelling up scenic serpentines, on romantic, panoramic routes, and along lovely lakeside roads. The exceptionally good road conditions, excellent signs and rapid response in an emergency add to the attraction by giving you a feeling of safety when cruising on Carinthia’s little used back roads. Nestling between the great massifs of the Hohe Tauern in the north west, the Carnic Alps in the south west and the Karawanken in the south east, a real treasure trove of varied landscapes opens up before you.
Charming waterfront routes and fascinating mountain passes make Carinthia a first-class destination for motorcyclists. The province’s capital of Klagenfurt and Villach are the urban centres with Mediterranean flair. Close to both of the towns lie pristine and unusually warm lakes for a country in the Alps. Lake Faak has become well known among the motorcycling fraternity for the annual Harley-Davidson meeting.

Whilst Weissensee is approximately 20 minutes away.
Golf: Golfing in 3 countries - Austria, Slovenia and Italy Alpe Adria with its 18-hole panorama course right next to Villach and Lake Faaker See (municipality of Finkenstein) offers scenic and challenging play for golfers of all abilities. The gently undulating course without any significant inclines offers a breathtaking view of the Karawanken Mountains. Wide fairways and six harmoniously situated ponds increase the pleasure of the game.
Kings at Lake Bled - The championship course with 18 holes was re-designed in 1972 by the golf architect Donald Harradine. His masterful achievement successfully incorporates all its natural features. The fact that golfers have to use every club in their bag is testimony to the rich variety of playing surfaces and so it is no wonder that players return again and again. The appearance of the course, which is embraced by Slovenia's highest mountains, is reminiscent of a park.
As golfers walk through the sunny woodlands they enjoy the fresh mountain air and marvelous views of the Julian Alps, the Karavanke range, Mount Jelovica and the Kamnik Alps in the distance. A special charm is exerted by the mighty Stol (2236 m), the highest peak of the Karavanke, which creates an indelible impression on visitors and suffuses them with energy. The Golf Club of Tarvisio is situated on the beautiful borders of Italy, Austria and Slovenija. It offers tourists the magnificent scenery of the Eastern Alps, filled with large forests and scenic mountain tops. We now also have an 18 hole golf course just 6km from our chalet.
