Villa Bacaya enjoys a very pleasing location, ideal for those who wish to experience the local colour of a Thai beach village without sacrificing enviable privacy. Situated within a quiet enclosure, Bacaya looks out over superb views of the golden Big Buddha beach and is situated in the lively seaside village of Bang Rak, its shops and restaurants within easy reach.
A terrace runs the length of the villa at the rear, dropping to a small walled garden containing a sala – one of the open-sided pavilions so typical of Thai architecture. Steps lead to the infinity swimming pool right at the edge of the beach, with a private gate giving direct access to the sea. The main, open-plan living space is characterised by the glorious views from the huge windows. Throughout the villa the style is coolly minimalist but uncompromisingly comfortable. The master double bedroom is at the rear of the villa, with its own separate sitting room and its en suite bathroom bridges the gap between indoor and outdoor living with a beautiful outdoor sunken bath, totally enclosed and private. The second bedroom has its own terrace and small garden. A modern kitchenette is equipped for the preparation of simple meals and snacks but it will be hard to resist the local food to be found at a selection of nearby restaurants, within a minute’s walk from the villa.
