The house “El Convento” is very well located inside the “urbanización”. It is very close from the principal avenue, and also to one of the two beaches and the seafront promenade (about 150 metres). The property is walled and has an uncovered parking inside, but you can also park the car outside the house in the same street. The soil measures 1100 metres, is triangular and is bordered by two other detached houses.
The building has two floors, each one 150 metres big. It has 7 bedrooms, but only 6 of them are available. The two bedrooms located on the first floor have independent entrances direct from the garden and both are ensuite. One of the bathrooms has a shower, and the other one has a small bath with shower, perfect for bathing the children. These bedrooms have queen’ size beds, a big wardrobe, a ceiling fan and radiators with central heating.
The other 4 bedrooms are located on the second floor. They all have twin beds, except for one that has a bunk bed, and the all have wardrobes and views to the garden and the pool. They also have air conditioning and central heating. The air conditioning can be controlled separately from each room, and there is a thermostat to regulate the heating separately in each floor. There are 2 bathrooms close to the bedrooms. They both have shower.
The full equipped kitchen is located on the first floor, and has a dining room beside, communicated through a hollow, which is very useful and comfortable. In that room and beside the table (big enough for 12 people) there are two big fridges and freezers. The kitchen has washing machine, dishwasher, oven, microwave, “vitroceramica” stoves, fryer machine, electric coffee maker, electric kettle, toaster, juicer and all the regular kitchen utensils and Crockery/flatware for 12 people. It does not have a drier but there is a drying area behind the kitchen. There is also an iron with its ironing board. Tap water is drinkable but there is also a purifying filter for water in one of the two sinks of the kitchen. It has a separated tap so you can get the purified water for drinking and use the regular tap for other needs.
There are two living rooms. One of them is located on the first floor. It is very big and is orientated to the garden and the pool, which you can see all over the place since the “walls” are sliding large windows. This crystal structure creates a spectacular effect that makes you feel actually INSIDE the garden.
This living room has a small toilet beside and is the central point of the whole house, communicated with the kitchen, the roofed porch, the garden and the entrance of the house. It also communicates with the second floor with stairs. The living room has a big table which you can move to the porch, suiting perfect for having a fresh meal during the hottest periods of the year. The second living room is smaller and it has a TV with DVD player, a private library with board games and many books (only in Spanish) and a “petanque” set which the clients can take to the beach or the “petanque” pitches in Cabo Roig. There is also wireless internet access and, optionally, a printer can be provided. This living room communicates with a windowed balcony on the side of the house with views to the street, and also with a big open air balcony on the other side of the house with views to the garden and pool.
The garden has a big lawn with flowers, plants and palm trees all over. There is a big pool (12 metres x 3.6 metres), permanently opened and ready to use, divided in two zones. One of them is prepared for swimming, and the other one has stairs and a bench, perfect for reading or having the Spanish “aperitivo” sitting inside the pool.
The pool is protected with a fence made of thin steel cables, so the children can play safely in the garden. Beside the pool there is a sundeck with several hammocks, an outside shower and two tables with chairs and parasols. There is a storage room hidden under a roof of lawn and plants which contains the pool machinery. Behind this storage room there is a small Japanese garden with a pine tree in the middle and communicated with the garden by both sides of the storage room.
On the other side of the house there is a small orchard with a few fruit trees, beside which is located a small room with the central heater and the deposit of diesel oil that it needs. Once a week our personal gardener will get into the house in order to take care of the maintenance of the garden and the pool.
This house is perfect for groups and for families with children. There are children facilities such as baby cradle, two high chairs, infant tube, playpen and a small slide for the pool.
The “Urbanización Cabo Roig” is one of the best residential zones in Costa Blanca, with 2 sandy beaches and a beautiful seafront promenade that joints them. Its entrance is located on the road that joints Alicante with Cartagena. It is 10 km away from Torrevieja and just 2 km distanced from “Dehesa de Campoamor”. The entrance to the AP-7 highway is 3km away. There is also a bus stop in the entrance of the “urbanización Cabo Roig”, but is advisable to rent a car.
The international airports of San Javier in Murcia and of Alicante are about 30-40 minutes far from the “urbanización” by car. Around the area there are lots of leisure activities available, such as golf (3 golf courses in the surroundings), tennis, horse riding, fishing, and, of course, many water activities and sports (pedalo, banana boat, water skiing, jet ski, surfing, windsurfing, sailing…). There are also shopping centres, movie theatres, bowling and many restaurants, bars, and discos around the area. Besides you can find, very close to the “urbanizacion”, all the services you could need regularly, such as banks, a hospital, pharmacies, supermarkets, mail office, etc.
Inside the “Urbanización Cabo Roig” there is a small supermarket that opens all year round, a little Church, a marina, a sailing club, a few restaurants, and a leisure zone with tennis courts, pools and children’s playground. During the summer there is also an open air movie theatre. The streets in the residential complex have been paved (asphalt) recently and are very well illuminated. Due to the privileged location of the “urbanización”, the climate is wonderful practically the whole year. It is definitely a very peaceful setting for vacation.
