Built in the 18th & 19th centuries in an enclosed stone courtyard, this restored Loire farmhouse with private pool was the original home farm of the neighbouring Chateau, set in the heart of the Brenne regional park. The house itself is known locally as 'the hunting ground of the buzzard', indicative of the wealth of wildlife in this area. It has been lovingly restored, retaining many original features to create a traditional farmhouse ambience with up-to-the-minute facilities.

This Loire farmhouse is located in the south of Indre, just north of Limousin; this region is internationally renowned for bird watching with more than 1000 lakes. Wild game abounds from red and roe deer, to wild boar. The picturesque old country towns of Argenton-sur-Creuse and Le Blanc lie to the east and west of the property and have a variety of shops and restaurants. Just 10 miles away is the ' Maison du Parc' at Le Bouchet near Rosney.

The dramatic river Creuse was a disputed border between the English and French during the 100 Years War, thus many castles and places of historical interest are to be found along it' s banks. Nowadays the river is used for the more leisurely pursuits of canoeing or horseriding!

Chateauroux is 25 miles away whilst Poitiers is only an hours drive from this restored Loire farmhouse with private pool.
