This magnificent manor house is perfect for those seeking peace and tranquillity, or as a very comfortable base from which to explore this beautiful area of Andalucia and take advantage of all the activities on offer. An hour’s drive in one direction will bring you to the magical city of Granada, while a short drive in the other direction will bring you to the coast with its bustling seaside villages and beaches. The many activities available include country walks, water sports at the beaches of Almunécar or La Herradura, and winter skiing in the Sierra Nevada. There is also an excellent 18-hole golf course just outside Granada.

The setting for the property is spectacular, at the top of a tropical valley (440 metres above sea level) amidst palm trees and tropical plants. Dating from the 15th century, the house has recently been renovated, retaining original features such as the magnificent columned and vaulted drawing room with stone fireplace, and the wood-panelled dining room. The ornamental Moorish-style gardens have also been restored to their former glory, and guests can relax in peace surrounded by centuries old palm trees, box hedges, exotic plants and fountains. Ancient cypress trees border a beautiful swimming pool, fed by a natural spring. There is also a tennis court for guests’ use.

In addition to the accommodation in the main house, there are also two cottages, each with 3 bedrooms and a kitchenette. Rental Prices for the cottages are available on request. Cots are also available. There is a telephone/fax and e-mail facilities in the library. There is no central heating, but there are electric heaters and open log fires during the winter months.

A private chapel within the grounds means the property can be rented for weddings. Wedding receptions, parties, conferences and other events can be arranged on request. An old olive mill at the rear of the property has been converted into a dining hall, perfect for hosting special events.
An airport collection service is also available for up to 8 persons at a time.
The 8 seater minibus plus driver and are also able to arrange local collections, visits to the market, excursions etc
