Description
Gressoney is right in the middle of one of the most modern and vast ski areas in the world, the Monterosa Ski... with its 200 km ski-slopes and the more up-dated ski-lifts, chair-lifts and cable-railways, and it is definitely the Italian land for the off-piste skiing.
In Gressoney there’s plenty of choice of accomodation, and your holiday, long or short, will be characterised by sport, entertainment, culture and the rediscovery of the ancient Walser traditions.
Both in winter and in summer you’ll be offered various sports facilities: climbing up to the top of Monte Rosa, golf, tennis, horse-riding, rafting, kayak, paragliding, mountain bike, atv/quad on ice or dirt road, ice-skating, off-piste skiing, cross-country skiing, snow shoes...
At night the various bars and nightclubs are filled with young people and animated by shows, music and dance... everything is meant to enliven your evenings with always new amusement opportunities, to keep good company and meet new friends.
The Walser people, who have been living in the Gressoney Valley since the 13th century, boast a background full of history and tradition unique all over the Alps.
The ancient language and customs are still alive, also thanks to the specially dedicated associations, museums and cultural events, that give a chance to experience this old culture even in the daily life of the 21st century. |
