Of all the Caribbean islands Barbados is perhaps the best known for its exclusive hotels, villas and chic restaurants, yet the original charm and friendliness of the Bajan people is still very much the way of life on the island.
It is a small island ( just 21 miles long and 14 miles wide) and despite not having much in the way of natural resources, it enjoys one of the highest standards of living in the Caribbean. Tourism is acknowledged as being of major importance to the economy and visitors are welcomed - particularly noticeable when trying to navigate in a rental car and the locals are all giving way!
The villas we have for rent on Barbados are among the finest in the world and are located on the popular west coast of the island with its magnificent white sandy beaches. Included in our selection are homes on the exclusive Sugar Bay resort Community which offers first class David Lloyd tennis facilities, as well as a good selection of homes on the Sandy Lane Estate. All properties are staffed by Barbadians and depending on the size and standard of the villa, the staff may consist of just a maid and cook, or up to eight staff including a butler, and in some cases a house manager to assist you. The staff expect to prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner and often they will also be prepared to do the food shopping after discussing with you what types of dishes you prefer. The cook will also be happy to advise you of her specialities and local dishes, local seafood etc which should certainly be sampled.
The average temperature is 86 degrees all year round, making Barbados an ideal holiday destination at any time.
